01 / From the handlebars

Owner report · October 22, 2026
“My phone has never fallen out—even after a large pothole and bumpy roads.”— Styx, on his own riding experience

What has worked for me

I’ve owned this mount since 2021. It holds my phone and charges it wirelessly. Through bumpy roads and one particularly large pothole, my phone has stayed in the holder. Charging has been consistent in my use.

Those are my experiences with my mount and phone, rather than a guarantee of how every setup will perform.

The annoyance I’d plan around

The power button is difficult to reach with the way I mounted mine. I leave the switch on, so I’d give its position more thought during installation. Before tightening everything down, check that you can comfortably reach the button.

A detail worth knowing

Think about where the power comes from.

Connected directly to the battery, the charger can remain powered when the bike is switched off. My preference is a suitable switched power connection that turns off with the motorcycle. Follow the product instructions and your bike’s electrical requirements; get qualified installation help if needed.

My take

For me, the important parts have been dependable charging and a phone that stays in place. I’d recommend considering this mount, with attention to switch access, phone compatibility, and installation.

“It’s a great bang for your buck. I would absolutely buy this lift again.”— Styx, after a year of use

More than an occasional oil change

I’ve owned this VEVOR lift for one year. I’ve used it while completing three-hole oil changes—engine, transmission, and primary—as well as a clutch replacement and Stage I and Stage III kit installations.

Smooth lifting, straightforward assembly

The assembly instructions were straightforward. Raising the bike has been very smooth in my experience. I was nervous the first time, simply because it was my first time lifting the bike with it.

My package included straps for securing the front and back of the motorcycle. That was a useful part of the setup for me.

Before lifting your motorcycle

Capacity is only part of the fit.

The 1,500 lb figure is the advertised capacity, not a load test I performed. Check the instructions for your exact lift and your motorcycle’s approved lifting points, clearances, securing requirements, and mechanical safety locks. Included straps do not by themselves guarantee stability.

Problems or drawbacks?

I haven’t had any problems using this product over my year of ownership. I don’t have a specific annoyance to report so far.

My take

For the work I’ve done with it, I consider this lift great value. I would absolutely buy it again.

03 / The small upgrades

“No more struggles to get the connector onto the stem.”— Styx, on checking and adding air

Installed when the tires were replaced

I ordered these stems in 2024. When I had my tires replaced, the shop installed them into the rims. These are replacement valve stems, not screw-on extensions fitted over the original stems.

The difference is access

The usual frustration is getting to a valve stem where it sits on the wheel. With these 90-degree stems, I no longer have to bend the air hose awkwardly or fight to get the connector onto the stem.

Access is so much easier that I joke you could almost check the pressure from the seat—if you had long enough arms.

Plan it with a tire change

A replacement stem, not an add-on adapter.

Mine were fitted into the rims during a tire replacement. Ask your tire installer to confirm the correct stem size and fit for your wheels. The listing’s “universal” wording is not a guarantee of fit on every motorcycle.

My take

A very nice product that makes a routine job easier. I would buy these again if I needed another set.

Product identity & what this review covers

Amazon product identifier: B08THNQZ2C. The listing title supplied by the owner describes a silver pair of 90-degree aluminum-alloy stems, listed as 11.3 mm. 04 / Florida riding

Owner report · October 22, 2026
“One of the most comfortable and adjustable helmets I’ve worn.”— Styx, on his own fit and comfort

My first order was in 2024

This was the first helmet I bought from this seller. The flag design caught my eye, but the comfort and adjustability are what made it a helmet I wanted again.

Comfort in the Florida heat

I live in Florida, so heat is part of riding. In my experience, this helmet breathes fairly well for a half helmet. It’s one of the most comfortable and adjustable helmets I’ve worn.

A strap that’s easy to use

The easy-release strap makes the helmet simple to remove. I find the sliding fastener convenient to reconnect and adjust. That describes my experience using it; follow the helmet’s instructions for correct fastening and fit.

Would I buy it again? I already did.

The original helmet fell off my bike. I decided to replace it rather than continue using that one, and bought another in December 2025. So yes—I would buy this product again.

05 / Light up the ride

“It is a little tight when installing ... Other than that, I’d buy these again.”— Styx, on his 2017 Ultra Limited installation

Installed on my 2017 Ultra Limited

I bought these LED front turn-signal replacements in February 2024 for my 2017 FLHTK Ultra Limited. The running lights are bright white in my experience, and the turn signals blink yellow.

The bulb fits; the wiring takes care

The fitment is the same as the standard bulb I removed. The tight part is getting everything back under the cap: the wires need to be tucked or arranged carefully so the cap can snap into place.

That is the installation annoyance I’d want another rider to know about before starting.

No rapid flashing on my bike

On my 2017 FLHTK, the signals flash normally after the LED change. I haven’t had the quick-flash behavior sometimes called hyperflash.

That is the result on my motorcycle, rather than a promise that every model will behave the same way. Check fit and any setup requirements for your specific bike.

My take

Bright white running lights, yellow turn signals, and a replacement that fits where my original bulb did. Apart from the tight wiring space under the cap, I would buy these again.

Product identity & what this review covers

Amazon product identifier: B0C7GRRJ8H. The owner-supplied listing title describes 2-inch front turn signals, smoked lens covers, and 1157 LED running lights. More gear worth comparing.

The rider behind the reviews

Call me Styx.

I ride a Harley, and I care more about how gear works on the road than how it sounds in an advertisement.

This is a personal collection of the equipment I use and the things I’ve learned from it. If a button is awkward or an installation detail matters, that belongs in the review too.

The owner reviews cover equipment I’ve actually used. Separately labeled buying guides look at specifications and shopping considerations for products I have not road-tested.
